a 50mb/5 connection with a 20 - 30 ms ping should NEVER have lag spikes. Especially when I'm the only one using it. I've tried messing with graphics settings wondering if maybe something on my pc is causing these random periodic freakouts, but that had 0 effect. I tried reinstalling the game. No dice.
I can play any of my other online games without a single issue, and in fact they're all lag-free. But not Rocket League. This game is borderline unplayable because of the god awful random freezing and teleporting.
The worst part is when it lags out so hard I can pull up the score menu and see my ping is completely steady.
Can Psyonix get on this or I want my money back, there is no point in this game without decent multiplayer.
Volodesi, can we get confirmation that Psyonix are looking into it please?
Unfortunately I couldn't use the server report link: https://psyonixhr.wufoo.com/forms/game-server-performance-report/
... because it requires both parts of a server name, and all the ones I connected with were like "EU-387954" or something, not [numbers]-[letters] like the report fields require.
I had a constant ping of 16 or 20 in each game, but I couldn't follow the game at all. Everyone's cars were teleporting from my perspective, and sometimes I'd get a Demolition a whole second after I'd run into somebody.
I asked about that problem a month or so ago. Check out this thread, it may help some:
