Disconnect symbol comes up during games and it lags like crazy

Whenever I play a match, the disconnect symbol comes up and everything lags super hard, making it unplayable. My download speed is the same as its always been and my ping sits around 24 almost constantly so I don't know what's causing it. Very occasionally I can get through a match with it only coming up for a short period of time but for the most part I end up leaving as it just keeps lagging out. Does anyone know a possible fix as I have not been able to find one, thanks.

I have the same problem. Playing 4 minutes ok, and boom connection problem (waiting, my opponents doesnt have it, they score, im losing) and last minute lags as hell. Its unplayable

im getting jerky lags,. I used to get what you said VERY BAD, i called time warner what i got my isp is., had them change the port # or whatever it was called on my modem. after that i was perfectly fine. But as i said I get jerky lag since yesterday on some games.

i had same problem , and speed test was showing normal 40~ ping but in this game lost conection and pings up to 800 normal , i take another internet modem and now i sit in between 30 and 100 ping , most of the time 46-70, and no more connection lost

I only use the Europe servers which is fine and I meant that my ping in-game is always very low, around 24. I just changed my graphical settings and nothing had an effect

I had that happen yesterday. In a ranked match. Game was just froze at 5:00, was super laggy, and when I scored nothing happened either,still 0-0 .. after 15 min I lost patience and left.

Glad to know I'm not the only one having this problem, hopefully this gets fixed soon because I'm losing a lot of ranked matches because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Dito <<< My ping bounces from 20-300 off and on since late yesterday, scoreboard shows everyone's bouncing from green to red through the match and even got the flashing disconnected symbol a few times. not normal for my connection and did all I can on my end other than calling the cable company.

When the game first released we had 'servergate', where the servers were overwhelmed with the demand. At that point I was getting severe lag almost every game (jumping/teleporting cars, slow motion, etc), even though my ping was almost constantly below 30 and often in the teens.

Then they releaed some updates and server fixes, and the lag went away almost completely. I could play no problem for ages, and if I did get a lag spike it was a surprise rather than the norm.

Ever since the update to introduce the new season, the lag has come back for me too. It isn't quite to the standard of servergate yet, but it's getting close, and it definitely affects game outcomes. A number of times I've missed picking up a boost because my car jumps across the pitch, or been unable to score/defend an easy ball, causing me to be at a disadvantage.

My connection is wired, not wireless, and I mostly play late at night when everyone else in the house has gone to bed, so it's not my own connection that's at fault. Also my ping is still constantly below 30, even when the lag happens.

This happens on almost all EU servers, not just one or two particular numbers or names - last night as I played I took to leaving the 'server performance report form' (stickied at the top of the forum) open in the background to report any server which was severely affected. I ended up reporting almost every game I played, whether I won the game or not, because in some way or other the lag had affected it severely.

I hope that this can be fixed soon.

Always had this problem. I've tried turning down the graphics etc. but to no avail. It's a really fun game but I'm yet to play a full match online due to the lag :(
