Backflip Feature? Or Bug?
I've noticed this on a few seperate occasions. I've been able to replicate the effect multiple times with great success.

How it happens
What will happen is I will jump my car in the air. I usually have a second or so of hangtime and angle the car back so it's upside down. So the car is in the air tilted 180 degress. Then I press the jump button a second time with anolog back to initiate the backflip.

The Issue
As the car is in the air and immidiately after initiating the backflip the car will launch itself forward with great force and a sort of spontanious momentum.

So..
Is this belated backflip a feature? Bug? Nothing at all? Mainly just wondering if anyone else noticed this happening to them.

Don't really understand the issue here, the flip just depends on the orientation of your car.

Are you talking about after jumping if you lean your car forward until he is in a vertical position and flip, he goes much further than normal?

Edit:Something like this? https://gfycat.com/LeafyRaggedGrasshopper

It's the neither the direction of the second jump I'm talking about, nor the sequential front/back flip to gain speed, it's the boost effect you get from a single flip. Drive > Jump > Lean back until upside down > Backflip (while upside down) > Launch forward at great speed.

Like the 3rd flip the guy did in the gif? https://gfycat.com/LeafyRaggedGrasshopper
If it's not, can you show an example?

Still no idea what the bug is supposed to be, there is no speed difference in forwards or backwards, doing a flip backwards whilst facing backwards will make you move forwards.
Doing a flip is supposed to boost your speed above normal speed.

If you do what you're describing then your car is going forwards while upside down and backwards right? If your car is moving forward while upside down and backward then a backflip will have the same effect as if you are right side up and driving backwards: increase in momentum in the direction you are traveling.

You get the same effect if you jump off a wall, tilt back so you're upside down and nose is towards the middle of the field then front flip.

i tried what you said, and it's basically the same thing as a front flip boost. do the same method, but this time don't flip the car, just try to make it stay parallell to the ground. then, use the second jump after about the same time you use to turn your car upside down, on the backflip method. you'll have the same amount of speed boost.
