Non-Crate Very Rares - Why?
I've been seeing around the trade community that people ask for non-crate items and pay keys for them. Like an idiot, i started to just trade up all my uncommons and rares to build up to the very rare scale without first asking what is the point? I've seen a few threads say that the journey to a non crate exotic is not worth it, so why do people want them?

You can get a White octane from trading 5 non crate very rare items.

You'd rather get hit by lightning twice than receive a white octane.

Well, you can get keys from the very rares, but a white octane is worth like 80+ keys and you can get other items too.
