Drop Rates in Rocket League Crates

Hello everyone! Ahead of some of the major changes coming to Rocket League later this summer -- like the introduction of Rocket Pass[www.rocketleague.com] and our revamped progression system[www.rocketleague.com] -- we wanted to take a moment to talk about drop rates in our Crates and Keys system. Highlighted below are those rates for all five Customization Item rarity levels found in Rocket League Crates (along with odds for Painted and Certified attributes):

• Rare Item: 55%
• Very Rare Item: 28%
• Import Item: 12%
• Exotic Item: 4%
• Black Market Item: 1%
• Chance of receiving Painted attribute: 25%
• Chance of receiving Certified attribute: 25%
• Chance of receiving Special Edition attribute (on select items): 25%

NOTE: These drop rates have been the same since our Crates and Keys system launched in September 2016[www.rocketleague.com]. Every Crate and Crate Series in Rocket League are subject to these rates, whether it was the retired Champions Series Crates or the next Crate we’re releasing later this summer.

Our Crate system uses a three-step process. When you open a Crate with a Key or Decryptor, the system first determines what rarity level to choose from -- Rare, Very Rare, Import, Exotic or Black Market -- based on the percentages listed above. Next, the system determines which item within that rarity group is dropped. If you’re receiving an Import-level Customization Item from the Impact Crate, for example, each of the three Import items in the Impact Crate have an equal chance of dropping. Finally, the system determines if the item will drop with Painted and/or Certified attributes.

What about limited-run items like Golden Eggs and Golden Pumpkins? These items use a different set of drop rates because they typically offer items from multiple Crates -- the Golden Pumpkin sources its items from the Nitro, Turbo and Player’s Choice Crates, for example. Those drop rates are as follows:

• Rare Item: 50%
  
• Very Rare Item: 30%
  
• Import Item: 15%
  
• Exotic Item: 4%
  
• Black Market Item: 1%
  
• Chance of receiving Painted attribute: 50%
  
• Chance of receiving Certified attribute: 50%

Whether you open a Crate with a Key or a Decryptor, our Crate system uses the same three-step process:

This is no excuse to no refund or give player with keys items or money back.
plus this real doesn't help people that are playing this game!

I just found out that clicking my left stick in the crate menu shows the drop rates.

Still not opening them though.

Please make it like Rainbow Six Siege alpha packs where it doesn't need keys to unlock, but player have option to buy crates instead! I believe it is more fun this way every update player can get excited for new things.

It's been boring for quite a time now, there are no point adding crates when most of the players cannot open it. Don't be greedy. Also, no one play beside normal and rumble, birthday map is dumb and already lacks of player, not even a week after the mode release.

Have 20 to 30 of every crate... except the accelerator crate - the one with the double dragon goal celebration. Have had just one of those crates in 2 years!!!!

That is my crate opening statistics.

But it's not impossible to obtain good stuff (just be a pigeon and spend more money... What I'm doing with my life?). My latest highlights are Sniper Atomizer and Cobalt Playmaker Centro.

Or........stick with me here......actually allow the players to choose an item from the crate.

Rare = 1 Key

Very Rare = 2 Keys

Import = 3 Keys

Exotic = 4 Keys

Black Market = 20 Keys (just because)

I think more keys would be bought and not feel like you are getting shafted in the process...just saying.

I must have opened over 100 crates on Xbox and now another 30 playing on PC, and I never ever get goal explosions, I think I got one in all those crates, am I just unlucky?
