2. You can just continue playing with JP voice acting or no voice acting at all. Nobody's forcing you to listen to English voices.
What gives you that impression? The VAs were just announced, nothing's happened yet.
I could imagine that response if it's a VA with a bad reputation or there is something else in the announcement to reinforce skepticism.
What is the announcement, BTW? I can't find anything with my search-fu.

Development [MiSide]
Hello @everyone!
Today we would like to announce the start of English Miside dub production!
We express our deepest gratitude to ZaccActs and his team for searching voice actors and organizing this project!
The cast for the English dub is as follows:
Macey Anne Johnson - Mita and Kind Mita
Lily Pichu - Sleepy Mita, Tiny Mita, and Mila
Arbrianna Thrash - Cappie and Short Hair Mita
Zach Pokres - Main character
With some googling, I can see reason for the pessimism. Macey Anne Johnson works with Funimation/Crunchyroll. For example, she's worked with Jamie Marchi on Dragon Maid.
Association doesn't make her guilty, of course; for all I know she could have been against wokalization but a job is a job. But the association does leave me somewhat pessimistic.
Fortunately, the existing translation is well known, which hopefully provides some protection if she does happen to be the type that would be inclined to take unappreciated liberties, since any changes would be very clear and somewhat high profile.
