Why am i not surprised by the delay? Really wonder why the devs even give any form of a release date anyway when they simply can't keep them.
Just shut up about it until you are actually 100% sure you can release

how about you guys implement bandits instead? it'd be a lot more interesting to tackle enemies with hitscan than it'd be to be chased around by snowmen

Just a word of advice to all developers, for all games, and all studio sizes, never stick a date on updates. As someone familiar with game development it is fine and often a good idea to pick a date as a goal for the internal staff but there is little reason to tell the public about the planned update date. Either the update will come out on time which gets a neutral reception as that is what you told the public, or it comes out late and you risk frustrating consumers, which is bad PR and bad for sales.

Now thankfully this is a well loved game than has been sold for a long time and has a lot of built up good will. So this minor bump in the road will be soon forgotten, but in the future just don't do it. If you are going to stick a date on it, give it a range. If you said March-May, this delay would of gone unnoticed.

Anyway, love the game, love the free updates. Just trying to help developers to stop making mistakes should of been learned from years ago.

I am looking for an update and its content, not an apology. I don't want to see pity letters or apologies. If you're a creator, stay more dignified.
