Whats the next best mod after Darknessfalls?

undead legacy gets my vote. sadly subquake decided it was time to fix everything so its only playable at alpha 20 atm

I like Sorcery and it actually works and is compatible with Darkness falls so you can combine them. The authors collaborate and there is a patch specifically for Sorcery + Darkness Falls

Darkness Falls and Undead Legacy are definitely the big 2. Personally, I prefer UL.
I also enjoyed War of the Walkers and Apocalypse Now, but right now is probably not the best time to be looking for mods, with vanilla 1.0 around the corner.

I play DF exclusively, no vanilla since ages ago

My settings are insane nightmare feral sense permadeath (once)

I recommend these settings to EVERYONE

But if I really had to , I saw a video of AFTERLIFE a week ago and it looked dope

Not sure if allowed to post videos here, but look it up on Youtube

I played Afterlife for a few days right before v1.0 experimental became available to all of us. It was definitely interesting for the couple of days that I tried it out.

The only issue being that it was for A21 and will need to be updated for v1.0. Should be worth checking out when that becomes available.

Yeah people have been playing 1.0 experimental for a couple of weeks now. the PC stable version will be sometime later this month (supposedly). Along with the console pleb version.

Joking aside with Darkness Falls and Undead Legacy, it's pure personal preference of course. I feel like the last time I played Undead Legacy it leans more in the direction of realism / hardcore whereas DF is a bit more Sci-Fi / Fantasy.

Both good fun in their own respective themes.
