What's a mod to fix the stupid magazine decision?

I just want a mod that makes leveling the way it's supposed to be. I never read a magazine in my life and I know all about smashing someone in the head with a baseball bat- why does my character? Where was the magazine that taught him to walk forward? WAIT- Where is the magazine that taught him how to read magazines and how did he read that magazine?

It's stupid as hell, anyone know a mod that keeps everything the exact same but changes JUST that?

I use Darkness Falls, but I don't believe it's ready yet for 1.0. Almost there though. DF uses the old way of learning so you don't have to rely on magazines.

Yup, most people dont like this system but is not stupid, and i'll show you with a simple question, What makes you visit a POI? before, you didnt need to visit to much POI to upgrade yourself making the game more enjoyable but at the same time more easy, just picking a bit of food (standard houses), a glass of murky water, aka infinite water source with only 1 glass, etc.

Now the game is more harder, and may not suit some people, but the concept idea is bringing more challenge aka more fun.

As the upper guy said, your best bet is darkness falls, but still not ready.

Before, you needed to visit POIs to get schematics. I found it exciting to find a good one. Now it's tediously searching for a hundred magazines.

I looted every poi for useful resources. I liked to roleplay the hell outta this game, but now it's just...I don't know, grindy? It's just not as fun to me as the older system.
