Ok, I didn't know I liked all that ♥♥♥♥. Guess I've been misled by my own preferences. Sorry.
Yeah im holding out that the workshop will help, but im just getting sick of waiting tbh. It would definitely help with the security side of it.
Cheers mate, il check it out.
I will but im not after a game changing mod, just a few changes to get back what i think is a more vanilla game.
You do not have to use nexus. There are websites that just host 7DTD mods I have used them for ages they seem OK like 7daystodiemods.com, or a lot are hosted on github if you follow the links through the 7DTD modding forum. Many of them are just .xml files you can check the contents yourself they are not large files and can be read in plain text.
I haven't played that yet, bit I have seen videos on it and it looks very intersting, I'll prob give it a try when the 1.0 version comes out. It even makes the stat system learn by doing, as doing certain actions are related to certain stats and as you do them you gain exp to the next stat level. Kinda like how it was in oblivion, where what skills you raised affected your possible stat gains on level up.

It currently isn't updated yet.
I don't think it is updated either.
I've been using nexus for years now, and I've never gotten any malware or anything from the mods on that site, so I don't even know what the poster there is going on about.
I've used Nexus for over a decade on over 15 different games and NEVER had an issue with ANYTHING I've downloaded as far as viruses go. Very safe & reputable site.
And if your serious about modding, your much better off using a mod manager over Steam Workshop. Steams handling of downloads is subpar in comparison.
