7 Days to Die

Afterlife is designed to be an immersive, hardcore, survival overhaul that works with and supports cooperative multiplayer.
Here's a (non-comprehensive) list of some of the mod's features:
- Full "action skill" system- All attributes and skills are action skills. There are no traditional levels.
- All perks are new/custom.
- No time, compass, or map to start with. These items must be acquired,
- No traders or quests (for now; an alternative is being worked on).
- Vitality system. A "general well-being" resource that can be managed in many ways.
- Reworked biomes (forest and desert in particular).
- Reworked world lighting.
- Wasteland megacity (make sure you use RWG with the mod running).
- Several classes and class selection on game start.
- Custom equipment slots including torch, backpack, watch, map, and compass.
- 3 new tool/weapon tiers including scrap, bronze, and inconel,
- Izayo•s weapon packs, so lots and lots of guns (fully integrated with progression).
- IJI rework.
- 6 new •mineables",
- Forge heat system.
- Permanent infection (don't worry, it's manageable).
- Quantity/liquid storage system using glass jars as main item container.
- Weight + backpack capacity inventory system.
- "Dye Tub" enabling crafting of 512 different dye colours.
- "Cartography Table" for sharing map information with allies.
- "Training Dummy" for when you're too scared to go out at night.
- Improved rain effects.
- Some optimisations to try and squeeze a bit more FPS out of the game.
- Blueprint-based building system.
- Various QoL hotkeys (can be seen in-game in the vanilla "info panel").
- And lots of other stuff!

Pretty specific question for the devs... Is the Cooking Grill available in loot anywhere? It is day 10 (90min days), i've checked quite a few POIs and places where ovens were outside without finding even one. In previous tries i found a few of them, but with the v1.0 i can't seem to. Is it just bad luck or some bug?

I was checking the files. What i found is: zAfterlife/Config/loot.xml - <set xpath="//lootgroup[@name='groupCookingTools']"><item name="toolCookingPot" prob=".5"/><item name="toolCookingGrill" prob=".3"/>

It's been a while since i checked them and don't remember if it has to be defined somewhere. I can't seem to find any occurence of "groupCookingTools" apart from loot.xml.
5k hrs in game and still counting in my AFTERLIVE. This is what it always sud be
Is this mod still getting updated? It sure sounds like an awesome mod / overhaul... but, needing some work still to polish it up... like bug fixes, maybe adding back in 'some' traders and / or quest system for example. I'd like to pick back up playing 7d2d but, not interested in the Vanilla game with how the development direction went since A20 +. Just wondering if anyone's following this mod may know what's expected to come and when?
The last update was around 2 weeks ago. The next one is due in December. As far as I understand it, the mod is being worked on all the time.

Awesome! And, thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely interested in this mod cuz, it seems to bring back the better parts of 7d2d... mechanics they did away with that were actually pretty good and seemed more 'logical' imo. Game as it is now just seems like it went off the rails... with the new Magazine system, biome / city limitations, etc., etc. I had way more fun with this game back in A15 thru A19 but, can't force myself backward into those versions with the worse graphics and UI controls / menu's. I do appreciate the advances in those parts of the game... along with more recipe's / content. Will be keeping my eye on this mod's development.

Wow that is really bad for such a great card... when you play what does your cpu, ram and disc percents show in task manager? Ctrl Shift + Esc

You'd probably see gains by setting up a personal server and client for your alls play together sessions. Even though using same system for server AND client, you could see some performance gains. But, your system needs to be properly configured, optimized, and maintenanced... especially with multi-player / co-op games. If having issues, start your own topic for it maybe in 'Q and A' sub-forum.

WOW! I can't believe that it shows the age right away of the Dev ... crazy
Me and my friend tried to installed Afterlife 2.17.3 for Alpha 1.2(b27)
He got inside the game with no problem , i got a black screen after waiting a few minutes at Loading Particles

fresh start with Afterlife 2.17.3, no more exceptions by selecting Sheriff, but 5 minutes in the game an IndexOutOfRangeException occurred which also disabled the UI (player controls were still working, but could not click any UI buttons/controls, had to alt-f4).

Based on the logfile i'm guessing it's related to music.
