back in my day we ran to the next city. hah. but your criticisms are noted.
Can't get the link to work so I'll just post here if that's okay with you.
First of all, I see a lot of people talking about softlock early on where the mission chain breaks when you set down the first campfire. I think this happens if you don't put all the stuff together (campfire, logs, piles of stuff/food). I tried it several times and the game always softlocks if you put the campfire down far away from the other things. If you do it all in one go, it all seems to work perfectly. Thought maybe you could take a look at why this happens, or just add a warning to put the stuff down in one go.
Second issue I've noticed is related to sleep. I've sometimes lost 30-40% rest when moving away from the bedroll and coming back a few moments later. It's not a huge issue, but given how long it takes to build rest up to tier 3, it's a bit annoying to lose that much progress for seemingly no reason.
Is there any way to reduce or remove the weight of cash/dukes? The most expensive weapons seem to require over 500kg worth of dukes to purchase from the vending machine... I tried editing the weight parameter in items.xml but it didn't seem to work.
Also, I would consider adding a way to craft the compass and wristwatch without having to spend a lot of perk points to do so. Or maybe making them a bit more common to loot. I am yet to find the compass after 30h of playing.
As for vehicles, I would suggest to make the bicycle craftable without workbench.
It feels like a mod that encourages experimenting and discovering new stuff, but you never get time to do that because if you stop looking for food and drinks for even a day you fall behind.
I literally raided a diner POI, found a decent amount of food, but in the time it took me to raid the POI I'd used almost as much food as I gained.
Anyway: just be aware, and try to survive through it. be creative/careful and enjoy dying as you discover the changes the mod makes!
