New overhaul out - Afterlife

Afterlife is designed to be an immersive, hardcore, survival overhaul that works with and supports cooperative multiplayer.
Here's a (non-comprehensive) list of some of the mod's features:
- Full "action skill" system- All attributes and skills are action skills. There are no traditional levels.
- All perks are new/custom.
- No time, compass, or map to start with. These items must be acquired,
- No traders or quests (for now; an alternative is being worked on).
- Vitality system. A "general well-being" resource that can be managed in many ways.
- Reworked biomes (forest and desert in particular).
- Reworked world lighting.
- Wasteland megacity (make sure you use RWG with the mod running).
- Several classes and class selection on game start.
- Custom equipment slots including torch, backpack, watch, map, and compass.
- 3 new tool/weapon tiers including scrap, bronze, and inconel,
- Izayo•s weapon packs, so lots and lots of guns (fully integrated with progression).
- IJI rework.
- 6 new •mineables",
- Forge heat system.
- Permanent infection (don't worry, it's manageable).
- Quantity/liquid storage system using glass jars as main item container.
- Weight + backpack capacity inventory system.
- "Dye Tub" enabling crafting of 512 different dye colours.
- "Cartography Table" for sharing map information with allies.
- "Training Dummy" for when you're too scared to go out at night.
- Improved rain effects.
- Some optimisations to try and squeeze a bit more FPS out of the game.
- Blueprint-based building system.
- Various QoL hotkeys (can be seen in-game in the vanilla "info panel").
- And lots of other stuff!

im in the middle of the first bloodmoon horde (for this mod), and i noticed a command window warning of 1948426 Wrn Density is zero??
not sure if its a mod thing or the game. but its just a stream, and i noticed a lot of zombies just standing in a construction site next to my base. not attacking the ground, just standing there.

so far (still very early in the play though, have not hit first blood moon) this mod feels like a cross between gnamod and ...something... maybe ravenhearst? just in how it 'feels' and some of the mechanics. its very good. so far have had to hide out in houses/POI's for 2 nights already and actually had to pick up a table and use it to cover an open door just for some "early warning" protection. Having models for most/all of the things you can pick up and use as weapons is really nice, and (I don't want to ruin anything) there are a lot of "neat" little things occurring (the forest ambiance being one of them, animals moving around, etc.) that other overhaul mods do not have that the core game really should have and you don't notice how great it is until you realize its missing in vanilla.

Started a new game and saw that there weren't any perk trees related to ranged weapons. Is this intentional or do you unlock new perk trees after a certain point?

There is a bug where if you shift click cash to put into the ATM to transfer into coins, it will dump the stack into a hidden inventory slot that you cannot access or recover....
(lost 5K cash and am rather upset by this)
so I've tried opening up DM mode to grab a destroy tool to break the old ATM (to see if the money will drop in an item bag) and to place a new one. but turning on DM mode doesn't reveal the DM inventory menu. and now I am rather frustrated by this, since the ATM has BILLIONS of HP, its not like I can break it by hand to recover the lost cash, if it even exists in it somewhere..

One issue I see already with the lighting changes, I notice you get a very hazy oval hazing effect when you go into crouch mode. This doesn't make much sense why someone would be penalized for crouching. The effect goes away when standing up. Is there any chance to fix this issue?

We all downloaded directly and uploaded on server too but all of us are getting this fail..... any idea

i think its supposed to be one of those visual effects to show you are hiding. but it is way overdone and i agree it makes it harder to see. maybe if they dropped it to half or a quarter the opacity it wouldnt be too bad.

also, could we get some kind of rudimentary day tracker to start? i thought i had the days correct, but somehow i missed horde night 14. in fact, i think i was running around that night looking for the glowy mushrooms.

When you go too DEV page it first show nothing you need to go to the top of the page and hit the dev key and they should show up hope this helps

Excellent mod, been totally engrossed in it for the last few days. It's amazing how fun 7DTD can be when you add a bit of difficulty and slow down progression. I thought at first I would be bored having no quests, but constantly running low on something (water, antibiotics, ammo etc.) so there's always something to go look for the next day.

you know what would be nice? being able to make cooking pots before day 1000. oh and the smart zombies actually making ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOISE!
dying sucked, but they took out 2 of 3 campfires with cooking pots, and 1 isnt enough, i have already cleared all but two pois that wont have cooking pots and am only just got workbench 11, and i need what was it 30 or 50 to get a workbench to get a bicycle? so i cant travel to another city. so my whole run is done.
oh and dont try mentioning raincollectors. you would need 30 to maybe get the water you need to survive because of how slow they are.
