Increase FOV over 85 in 1.0

How does one increase the FoV over 85 in 1.0?
I love the game but couldn't play it on FoV less than 95 because of the motion sickness issue i have. The old way of changing fov seem to not work anymore.

the problem is the hands FOV
they are too close to the camera
the pimps need to make it possible to configure it

GL expecting pimps to listen to any feedback. Model fov increase has asked for like a decade, and they refuse to add it, same as with the removal of default monstrous X crosshair.

Does it even work? All of the latest posts are about how it doesn't work, and how the mod author won't be working on it any time soon. And I can't find the damn .xml where the video settings are stored.
