Modlets. I always have issues getting the right folder, because I use an SSD, so they aren't default locations where I can just download and be done with it.
<drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Mods\
(assuming a Windows system).
If the 'Mods' folder is missing your should create one so will have:
<drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Mods\someInstalledMod
cheers
I’ll try that, thank you
Relevance?
Didn’t seem to work. Not saying you’re wrong, just simply not seeing the mods. I’m investigating further…
FYI my game is installed on an SSD, so I’m not sure that’s the issue, with the game on one drive and the mods on another…
I think you need to start from scratch. Delete everything, read some tutorials/videos on how this works, and then try again.
That’s what I did. Everything I see tells me to make a “Mods” folder in the game folder, then put the mods in there. Just doesn’t seem to work.
It is indeed something on my end, which is why I’m here. My only guess at this point is that there is a conflict between mods, not the mod placement.
You are all over the place. This is why I suggested for you to start from scratch. Delete everything.
Clearly, you have alot to learn about folder structure and how the game works in general before you even think about modding it.
<drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Mods folder.
It used to be in <7DTD install folder>\data\mods.
Have a look in your install folder to see if there is a mods folder in there.
Another thing I would do, is for each drive that you have, search for files called
modinfo.xml
All mods have this file - if you do a full system search for files with that name you should find any mods on your computer.
Cheers
