Are there rain catchers in Darkness falls-a21?

Can we still make rain catchers in a21? I have seen a few youtubers playing the experimental including Khaine. They complain about finding water but no one makes rain catchers. In a20 I put a rain catcher near/in every trader, so when on trader runs can always fill up. Is this now not an option? Yes I have seen we can not build inside the traders in a21, can we still put one across street?

Yes you can still make and place rain catchers in A21 Darkness Falls (currently B20). The issue is that they do not create voxels of water, so you can't drink from them. When I played B20, I used rain catchers to grow a farm as normal, but I don't know if the rain catchers were still required to farm. When you do find some water, you can just fill up empty jars at them, but you won't find jars in loot, they are craftable only. Any of this information might change as DFalls gets closer to its first A21 release version.

B21 is out and the patch notes state that the missing water issue with rain catchers has been fixed, so it should be possible to fill jars from them now, I believe. I haven't tried yet, though.

Edit: hm. Not sure if I've suddenly turned blind or if I'm mixing things up. I could have sworn the patch notes mentioned rain catchers, but now I can't find it.

Edit 2: Well, whatever happened in my head there, I was right; they do have water in B21 and you can fill jars from them.

Thank you. I tried a21 vanilla, the water thing drove me nuts. The only good thing about a21 is shooting through doors. Not happy with any of the rest. Went back to Darkness falls.

yeah. I don't like any of the gameplay changes in A21 vanilla either, but the new POIs are nice and I think the RWG makes more interesting maps too now (though, it might just be that I was so used to A20 RWG that any change is interesting), so it's very nice Darkness Falls A21 is happening so soon.

I'n not very far into DF B21 (started a new map for it), but so far things work well and workstation tools (welding torches in particular) are no longer insanely rare like they were in the earlier versions.
