How to add mods?

I am quite new to the game played it a bit, its fun, even if im playing by myself at this moment. I dont know how to add mods since im a bit dumb when it comes to adding mods that are not directly from the workshop. Does anyone know how to add them or has a youtube video that shows step by step?

If you're going to download mods it's always best to use a mod launcher that does the installing for you. Personally I download my mods on nexusmods which has Vortex as its mod launcher so I'd recommend that; Vortex does everything for you. Otherwise, if you wanna go full manual, you gotta go into AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie and then create a Mods folder. Then you extract the contents of the zip files into that folder and it should work.

Be mindful what version you're using as some mods are outdated and won't work unless the version of the mods matches with your game.

Some people use either the Vortex for Nexus mods or the 7 Days to Die launcher.

I, personally don't. I rock manual because more often then not I get asked to help friends set up servers. Tell you what though. If you have certain mods in mind then I am happy to have a chat with you and you're welcome to add me and I'll walk you threw any issues you might have.
