Darkness Falls map

So uhm, I with my friend started playing this mod on Navezgane map. After 20 few days we were ready to visit wasteland and i heard there are demons, bunkers etc. But we didnt find anything and after researching i found, that there are no bunkers or labs(idk, found that info on reddit). So we are about to start a new game on dfalls small map, but we dont know which one. What is difference between PEP and noPEP? Can someone explain this to me please? And second question, which small map would you recommend for us?

Without giving spoilers. No PEP means just vanilla poi's plus DF traders, needed POI #! needed POI #2. I hear rumor there is a POI# 3 but have not gotten far enough. PEP has all that and POI's for general looting/questing new to game. Rumor is PEP locations have more loot but are more difficult then their T level would suggest. Friend gave me suggestion don't take any PEP quest until you have a gun. Take or leave that as you will. Have fun DF is awesome.
