[Mod] Subquake's Undead Legacy
A20 Features

I'm a complete noob when it come to installing mods in a game but I followed instructions given on main website

Though after I took out the anti-cheat the game just keeps giving me a pop up saying "file not found" for anti-cheat. Any help?

You don't "take out" (sounds like you're deleting anti cheat aka EAC), you simply untick (via the launcher) "Use EasyAntiCheat (EAC), as such for manual install: https://i.imgur.com/7b8kQtx.png

Thanks, though mod still won't run. I've taken a double check on my mod listing but for some reason I'm missing the exe after all the 7dtd files: https://imgur.com/a/Nxsx8JP
Make sure you are running A19.5 (b60) before installing the mod, it is not compatible with current A19.6 (b7) latest_experimental version of the game, verify the game files and then reinstall UL.
I see in the patch notes that you removed lockable slots in vehicles because the state couldn't be saved and could be confusing. Any chance that this could be added back as an option that had to be specifically enabled?

lockable slots in vehicles was never in, but it is planned for a20
I meant the patch notes for Undead Legacy

2021.01.08 - 2.2.46 - Added ability to lock player inventory, stash or vehicle slots for current session
2021.01.09 - 2.2.49 - Removed ability to lock slots in containers/vehicles to reduce confusion (not possible to save their state)

Well, I guess I missed the part where it was only there for a day. Was that version never released then?

I use Khaine's lockable slots in vanilla, which actually just un-comments code already in the vanilla xml. I see that code is still in your windows.xml, also commented out, but un-commenting doesn't do anything that I could see. I suppose I have to wait then.

The vanilla code is not used in Undead Legacy, because all it does it marks how many slots from top to bottom the game would ignore and every time you load up a save or rejoin a server, you would have to do it again and again.

In Undead Legacy you just have to hover over a slot and press L to lock the slot, regardless of its position in the inventory AND it will remember what slots are locked whenever you reload a save or rejoin a server. Because of that it is vastly different from vanilla system, that Khaine uncommented, and I think it's a more intuitive and better system, since you are not restricted from top to bottom.

To make it work the way it does so that it remembers what is locked and what is not is that it saves that information on your character, which is why it doesn't work on vehicles and containers.

Reason why I believe it could work for vehicles is that essentially vehicle is also an entity and potentially a similar code could be written to handle remembering what is locked slot and what isn't, which means, if you open vehicle storage and lock some slots, then close it, it would remember what's locked and if another player or you would reopen it, it would apply the lock to those slots.

Why it was removed in 2.2.49 from cars/containers is simple, there was no code, that made the game remember what slots were locked and what weren't, so whenever reopening those things, all slots would be unlocked.

As for regular containers (blocks, that have storage), they are not entities and similar code would not work. There are potential options, but all of them would mess everyone's saves and would brick any save you would try to load and that's something I don't want people to experience while working on updates.

I think your system is better than vanilla too. I was surprised when all my locks were still there the next time I played. Vanilla lockable slots aren't remembered for vehicle, or the player, so every session you have to set them. It is annoying, but still useful. And on the vehicle, it's the same number no matter what vehicle you get in (in the same session), so you always have to reset it when switching.

If I get locking slots to work just like in the inventory, but for vehicles, then it would remember what slots are locked per vehicle individually and will remember them between sessions or players using them.

So, I got the opening trade route mission for Tier 5 quests but when I got to the trader and tried to speak to him I get "KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary" in the console and can't interact with him at all, not for missions or trading. From entries in the log file I'm guessing it can't find any Tier 5 POIs. All the traders now are broken. Am I screwed?

In vanilla I could use cm and console commands to replicate my character and stuff on a new map. Is this possible in UL?

Or, is it possible to transplant my character with all skills and knowledge by copying the .ttp files to a new map? I've never tried it but this is supposed to work in vanilla, but vanilla no longer has all those skills.
