Getting Brass in Darkness Falls

What's the best way to get Brass in Darkness falls? We're finally starting to get to a point where we're able to make Bullet Tips + Gunpowder fairly easily enough, but brass has been another issue. Best way I've been able to find so far is just to scrap radiators. This just stinks though cause they take approx. 10 mins for a stack of 5, and they take up your whole crafting queue until they're done. I know in Vanilla you can put them into forges but that's not an option in DF.

I use the workbench when I'm about to go out doing missions. Set up a bunch of stacks scrapping, then just go have fun. You're not really going to need any brass after a few more levels, though. Once you spec into coil weapons, brass is just not something you'll pine for, I promise.

So, also consider the fact that, you can make STEEL CASINGS for ammo, as well. The steel ammo will mean you'll need to repair your weapon a bit more often, but it should hold you over when needed. And, start as early as possible collecting every tiny bit of electrical parts and polymers you can. You'll need them. Plant lots of corn...
