Changing the weapon models back to the old ones.

Is there a way to change them back to how they were? As much as i enjoy the thought behind the scrap look/feel of the weapons, they look awful (WTF are those front sights? how would you aim with that?). Before you suggest mods, there's one that changes the hunting rifle to almost how it was, but that's it. Help!

There are weapon replacement mods out there just don't know where myself. I know because mods like darkness fall and warzuk have custom models in game.

Edit: just read the mods part. Got ahead of myself. Sorry to say if you want an official way the current models are it until they change them again in the future.

Yes. The new ones are.....not really nice, they're looking more apocalyptic in some way yeah but it would be awesome to get the old Models back one Day. They really had a cool look

I think the ak looks stupid having a shovel for a stock. Is it really that hard to carve a piece of wood when we can build a gyrocopter with our bare hands...

If it's not crazy hard to learn or a difficult workflow I would LOVE to make my own weapon skins. I use Blender3D and it would be no issue for me to create skins. Just the actual ripping the models out of the game and importing my own textures is what might be very hairy.

The red dot would be okay, if the dot was shrunk quite a bit, it's FAR to big.

I haven't seen the new one yet, but the old one was terrible, the dot was barely noticeable. Maybe they need to find something in the middle.

I mean sure the pipe weapons should look a bit trashy, but the high tier firearms should look like real firearms. I am particularly pissed about the new smg 5, looks awful compared to a19. Like a can as suppressor in apocalypse is cool, but what the ♥♥♥♥ is that front sight, the red dot and spoon charge handle? I literally throw away the smg and stuck with the pistol in my recent play through just because how atrocious the model is. The pistol got a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up front sight as well, but compared to the smg, it’s not even a hard choice.
