Darkness Falls: Rain Barrel

Hi

I am new to DF. I have planted some seeds and I wanted to irrigate them (4 blocks distance to the water is way too little). I crafted a rain barrel but I am not sure if its bug or I did something wrong. It keeps leaking water inundating my crops. And you know how difficult is to manage water in this game. Is it normal? Am I doing something wrong or its a bug?

You need to dig down TWO spaces and place the barrel at the bottom. This gives the water a full space to exist above the barrel. It will be fine once you do that. Then, just plant your crops using the distance you already know about AROUND that one space of water.

More that the mod developer was very lazy and couldn't be bothered to add that into the item description. This mod is a trainwreck of poor UI choices and lack of testing to optimize.
