Follow the instructions for installing the overhaul mods as if windows (just copy files over the steam version)
I've found this is needed because the overhaul mods inject new dlls and code based on the windows binaries and have had problems in the native linux client (from crashing to missing textures and infinite console errors).
I was using proton 5-13.2 but have better performance recently with GE 5.21-1
Haven't had a crash or problem using the windows compatibility layer.
Turn off EAC from the launcher btw, stick with dx11 - opengl performs worse and vulkan isn't ready yet.
I'm actually paying on a 16k nitrogen map, the game uses ~24GB when running, smaller maps should be less ram used.
I get 45-75fps on high settings in undead legacy, with the max amount of zombies.
specs for reference: xeon 1650v4 (i7-6850k), gtx 1070, 128GB quad channel ram (2133), 144hz gsync panel.
It's undead legacy the one i'm itching to try, and now i think it will work.
