Mod Launcher not working for Darkness Falls mod

Hello all! I recently got a gaming computer just so i could play 7 days to die. I bought it and then downloaded and played it and its great. My girlfriend who also plays 7d2d did a walk through on how do correctly download the mod launcher and then install darkness falls etc. When i load into the game it doesn't have characters on the buttons. Like (new game) (exit) (controls) etc. I have done every you tube / read every discussion i can get my hands on to try to fix this issue. She does have another friend who has the same problem but gave up. Has anyone ever heard of this issue if so do you know what setting or what i need to do to get past this? i even went as far to download the zip drive for this game which actually i had to factory reset my computer after that. HELPPPPPP

I can tell you for sure spheri (mod launchers creator) is the nicest guy in the world. Send him a friend request and he'll help you out.
did you pre-synch the mod...and how long does it take to DL from github?

Does it go through all the steps in the bootom reporting?
Did you set up your computer to make a copy of 7 directly to your C\: drive?

after the reset i downloaded steam, downloaded 7d2d mod launcher, and discord so my gf could screen share to see what was happening. after steam i downloaded 7d2d and it went on my c drive im assuming (or thats how it looked) then i went thru and clicked on the plus sign next to darkness falls, clicked on darkness falls and installed the mod copy (or whatnot) that took about 3 mintues, then i clicked (pre sync mod) and it popped up a box saying " the mod isnt downloaded did i want to download now" so i clicked yes. then it downloaded and took about 7 minutes, then after i made sure it was done i clicked play mod and it went in. when i get to the game screen for darkness falls it should have all the buttons like start new game, continue, exit, etc. but it has the butttons like i can mouse over them but no words and this is my indicator that there are errors.

Two things i can think of. the first is an obvious corrupted download and the other is your AV trying to block it.

actually my gf logged in and told me that they got the fix for it apparently you need to go to 7d2d in steam right click on game and go to properties and then go to betas tab, use drop down to 18.2 stable and click close, after that it will download 7d2d 18.2 after that is done you can redownload the 7d2d mod launcher and then when you click darkenss falls click the name darkness falls and donot do the copy you have to copy from steam it requires login name, password, and the l"latest" drop down go to 18.2 and then instal mod copy, that will bring up a box and you have to let that all downloadn and check your email for a authentication code and enter that on the black box and press enter then let it finish downloading once that is complete then you pre-sync mod and let that complete then your good to play mod. thanks for all the help i hope this helps anyone else.

LOL.. I never considered it could be wrong version. Hugh!!!??? authentication code???? I ve been using mod launcher for 4 years...never heard of such a thing....lemme go check something...

Yeah I'm dl DF now there is no authentication code, and the launcher is a one click process. And of course you want to copy from existing game and NOT DL from steam again. The only reason to do that is if your not using the current alpha on steam. I dont know what the authenti..... Wait a minute the code was to log on to steam from another computer wasn't it? Well I see now. Ya'll dont really know much about mods and launchers and stuff. Thats cool we all gotta learn and start somewhere. Im sorry I forgot to ask you the basic question like "What version of 7 are you using?" LOL. lotta help I was...
