Guide: how to set loot abundance over 200% on single player and make 16k worlds
i recently found out that you can edit the Windows xml in the XUI_Menu folder to increase the loot abundance above 200% without using the dedicated server

its also possible to edit the same xml to increase maximum world size to be over 8k

i tried making a 16k world (crashes if you tap out during creation and loading) and it does work BUT it takes around 6 times longer to create than the 8k and the same when loading (cpu in my laptop is a 7700hq with 16GB of 2.4GHz RAM with the game on a 970 evo 500GB)

this is what i did with the loot abundance (line 590): 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, 325, 350, 375, 400, 425, 450, 475, 500, 525, 550, 675, 700, 725, 750, 775, 800, 825, 850, 875, 900, 925, 950, 975, 1000

and the world size is on line 506. Add 16384 after 8192

i used notepad++ to do all this since i think its easy to use

it is possible to use windows notepad to do this for the people who dont want to download another program

for the people who dont wanna use notepad++ you can use the search function (CTRL+f) and search for gameoption name="LootAbundance" and replace with the numbers mentioned above. for the world size just search for 8192 and add 16384 after that (make sure to put a comma in between)

this was all i had to add, thanks for reading and have a good morning/day/evening/night

As for worlds is it possible to reverse this? Make them small asf or something?

Make a world too small and you will have nothing to play with since the radiation buffer zone seems like it's a fixed value and will take up a huge chunk of the map.

I just made worlds that were 1024 and 2048 in size and the former had a super tiny playable area with not a lot of POIs.
The 1024 size world was like 75% radiation zone and promptly crashed with errors after I completed the starter quests because there wasn't a trader to send me too.

I'd personally set 2048 to be as small as I'd want to make a world to maintain a mix of things to do and hopefully spawn a trader.

I can see if i can poke around in the XML’s to see if i can find the deadzone for the radiation when i got the time.

im currently not even near my home in sweden as my family thought it was a good idea to the canary islands for our new year celebration...

Anyway, back to the topic of this discussion...

Im guessing its gonna be somewhere in the worldgen XML (can’t remember the exact name as i havent touched 7 days in a long while) as i Said i Will poke around and see if i can find anything.

Also, happy new 2k19

hello, i tried modding the game file but it didnt work, if you are playing on a modpack you should check the mods folder and check if theres any folder/mod with the pack name, if it does check if it has a config and if it does you should find a copy of the Xui_menu folder with the windows file in it
edit: also the loot abundance code is now on line 661
edit 2: if you are lookin to modify the experience/xp multiplier it should be in the same batch of code as the loot abundance, it also contains loot respawn time
