Alpha 17 - How to increase forge smelting speed + amount smeltable
I've figured out how to increase the smelting slots from 2 to 3, but I've no idea how to increase the smelting speed. If anybody can help me with this, that'd be much appreciated.

For anyone wanting to increase the smelting slots, do this:
L:\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days to Die\Data\Config\XUi\windows.xml
(use Notepad++ to edit easier)
Ctrl+F to bring up the search bar, and type: name="windowOutput"
In the 2nd block of text, go to rows="1" and change the 1 value to 2.

You'll want to change the 'pos' of the surrounding windows to make it look better, too. Speaking of which, if anybody else has gotten this far, how do you move the in-game black 'OUTPUT' window down? Can't seem to find the position of it in the .xml file.

Look for melttimeperunit in items.xml
Add that line to other meltable items and try it out (it lags alot if its too fast) I added it just after economic bundle size on stone, clay and iron lumps. Can't remember the values but I think everything below 0.5 is too fast.

Edit:
Sorry I can't give you an example I'm at work now :)

This is useful, but I've also learnt that you can lower the weight of a resource to increase the speed it smelts, too.
I still can't find the line of text that moves the position of the black, in-game 'OUTPUT' box with the loot symbol you see when smelting down tho

Yes but if you lower weight you will get less amount smelted
1 iron/clay/stone per chunk instead of 5.
There are already mods for 3 slot forge input you can check them out.
