Extract the Valmod zip locally. Open it. Open the Data folder.
In filezilla connect to the server, open the server directory and its Data folder. Delete its Config folder. Drag and drop the Config folder from the Valmod Data folder into the server's Data folder. Done.
Go back to the directory on the server and the Valmod folder. Open the Valmod's bigger backpack folder. Drag its Data and 7DaysToDieServer_Data folder into the server's directory. Overwrite when it asks - if it doesn't ask then you did it wrong.
Note: Not all servers actually let you modify the assembly-csharp.dll file which is what is required of the bigger backpack mod and what is in the 7DaysToDieServer_Data folder. GameServers is one server host, for example, that I've heard does not allow this.
Option 2: Send Val a request and him to do it for you. Much quicker and easier than trying to explain it. Lol.
So if I am hosting with Gameserver, does that mean I cannot use the mod? Thanks in advance :)
That is only in relation to the Bigger Backpack Mod. Valmod itself is compatible with any server.
