Night Vision Goggles question

I'm curious if anyone knows a quick way to get the night vision goggles or if there's a certain trader that has them. I'm playing stealth and those goggles would be great. I have plenty of Dukes for them but I don't know if I will be able to find them.

I'm only day 10 so maybe they won't show up yet?

It's a higher tier level item so, you may not see them show up in random loot or traders till your Loot Stage and / or Game Stage progresses a bit more.

I'm actually finding that they're really easy to find early-mid game, but have never shown up since. I'm on day 50-something and I haven't seen any since the second week in.

Wow, I might have gotten really lucky then. I'm glad I picked them up now.

Mine were found at Bob, I wonder if they are more common for him or it's completely random.

Yeah, I was seeing them being sold at traders a lot at that point. Which really surprised me given how late game they had previously been.

On 1.0 I found one on day 4. Forgot where. maybe it was a zombie loot bag.

Both the NVGs I found in loot were in the desert in places you'd normally find clothing, like garment bags/dresser/washing machine/laundry basket and such. I bought 1 from Bob and one from some other trader but, for the life of me, can't remember if it was Joel or Bob. Sorry. It's cool that you can wear both the NVG mod and the regular helmet light, though and switch back and forth. Looking forward to a modlet that takes the vignette away... ugh. Super great for Stealth play. Good luck finding them!

Yeah, I got them now and i've seen them a couple times at traders.

I hope they take away the vignette thing also. I doesn't make a lot of sense to have oval shaped vision out out of goggles. Lol

In A21, I hunted for deer at night and then cleared some zombies at night, the next day I found a pair of night vision. Maybe luck or just the fact if you do things the hard way a few times, the game provides you with items to make things easier.

It turns out that the goggles seem to be pretty common in the 1.0 version of the game when you go to the trader. They cost 2700 Dukes by default, I believe.

I can't remember if I even used them in A21. I don't think I did

Maybe the game did provide you the goggles because you needed them for night hunting:)
