Multiplayer Map
Hi everyone, is there a way to reveal the map in a multiplayer game without an in-game cheat and without having to drive around everywhere? It would be better to have a map that you can use as a guide so you know where the worthwhile spots are? Thanks.

Turn on debug mode by hitting F1 then typing "dm" without the quotes.

Then open your map. In the top right there is an option to toggle Static Map view. That will remove the map fog and essentially give you an outline layout of the entire map. You also have several overlays you can switch through like Biomes which will show all the biome borders.

Another option is just to grab a screenshot of the map preview when you are generating a new map and save it for reference.

I am not the host of this game. Debug mode is deactivated.

Are the Maps all the same if I use the same name when creating them or is each one individual?
You would need the world gen seed to create the same map. Try hitting F11 in game and see if you get the info window. I'm not 100% sure that works if you don't have admin rights but it is worth a try.

Thx. Following Info was shown.
Pregen10K4 and
Savename/deco seed: XXXX

is the seed the name (XXXX) that I have to enter?
Ah, its a Pregen map. I probably should have asked that first but I assumed it was a RWG map not a pregen. Pregen maps come with the game and I don't think you can duplicate them

I think you have 3 options.

1) google the map name and see if anyone has posted an image.

2) use a 3rd party map previewer. I don't remember the URL but it should be easy to find. You would need to upload your map folder which should be in \7 Days To Die\Data\Worlds. If you can't find the install folder right click on the game in steam, select properties then Installed Files and click Browse.

3) create a local single player game using that map. It should be in the world list when creating a new game. You can then turn on god mode and debug and explore.
This might be helpful:

It has all the PreGenxxK Maps, along with the Map Generator URL.
