Any good way to get player kills achievements?

I know I can join a random server, but tbh that would take some time and I don't even like that gamestyle (lots of people trolling, I'm more of a pve guy). I just want to complete all achievements, so I don't know if there's a way like a mod to help with this. Or do I need to kill real players?

unless it has been patched out recently the darkness falls mod adds npcs that can aid the player. they count as other players and when you kill them it counts as a pvp kill. havent played df in a whle so not sure if the current version patched that out.

I've gotten them in multiple overhaul mods throughout a20. Haven't tested in a20.6 but I assume it still works.

Look there, under the 'Player Kills' section. To summarize, downgrade the game and hit any trader with a torch a few times - you'll pop all achievements in a few seconds.

A few players have told me (semi-recently) that it still works, so you should be good to go - just remember to avoid loading any other worlds that weren't made in Alpha 15.2 while downgraded to said version, as it would likely cause save corruption issues.

That's a really weird way to get these achievements but it saves a lot of time, thank you!

The only problem (and not really a big one) is that maybe I hit the trader too much, I mean, I got the first 3 achievements really fast at the same time, but maybe I hit him too much that the game didn't counted all of the kills untill I closed the game, or maybe that's a steam problem, or even a connection problem, idk. Still doesn't matter, I got all 4 of them.

As for the timing issue, I wholeheartedly believe it to be on Steam's end - quite a few achievements I've unlocked in 7DtD (as well as a number of other games) didn't register until I stopped playing and shut the game down, so I doubt it had anything to do with your connection/methods of unlocking in particular.

Knowing why it happens this way is anyone's guess though, I honestly have no clue~

I avoided the PVP stuff in this game like the plague because I didn't want to deal with the trolls, finished up a session in Release and then tried this out, all 4 achievements in about 10 minutes. Thank you for this!
