I assume when you say "chests" that includes medicine cabinets, gun lockers, dressers, sinks, basicly anything...
If so, then that's actually REALLY good information Red Eagle. If there is ever a manual or official guide or anything posted, this one detail should be in there.
Many games that have respawning chests have a serious problem with deleting our loot, such as Skyrim.
Ok, one other loot related question then:
I set the Loot Respawn to 30 days, because I don't like being able to live off the quickly respawning houses. Does this also affect the bird nest and consequentially the amount of feathers/eggs?
On a side note, think there is a way to mod how long crops take to grow? I feel they grow to fast when you can make a really small farm and be pretty self sufficient.
And while asking.. are you one of the creators or just a Modder? You are awefully knowledgable.
I do appologize to thread author for this sidetrack.
Scripts are designed to do an "if" "then" function. And I would assume it is based on if "there is stuff in container" then "don't spawn stuff"
But I also am not a fan of containers magically respawning unless it makes sense, such as birds nests. Which is why I disable the respawn in my own games.
No it won't spawn.
If anything is in a container (as in you didn't fully loot it), it won't respawn contents.
Think of it this way:
Say you decide to use a found chest to store some stuff in, planning on using it as a storage container for that type of item.... Let's go with weapons.
So you come back and find a bunch of junk in your container while packing a full inventory of stuff to load into it.
Any way they do it it'd tick someone off so bettter to just set it as "no spawn" if holding than to set it as "well, check slot by slot so we can annoy them if they want to organize stuff..."
Red's a moderator here on the forums (post wrong & he'll move it around and the like).
He does mods for the game too - a real fan and supporter of the devs but not part of the development team - a volunteer here.
So is Jaga - another volunteer moderator.
