Spider zombie and overhangs

Okay, so I get that having an overhang on the walls can stop spider zombies from climbing, but I need some clarification.

I've built a row of metal trusses along the edge of my wall, with upside-down concrete ramps beneath them to give them addition support. Can the spiders then climb up the ramps and continue over the overhang?

I could add another row of blocks to the edge of the trusses, but I'm concerned about the overall weight.

Will the spiders climb that?

If I'm not mistaken, old wood poles on the outside edge of your base is plenty enough, even though they are so thin. Ramps should be fine.

So far, they've not been able to make it past the ramps, even though I did end up putting a row of wood blocks on the edge. I suspect I will need to replace the wood with something a bit more vomit-resistant, but so far, so good.
