Where is the keyboard configuration file?
Is there no keyboard configuration file?
I see a few posts from back in 2015, 2016 about this and none had any answers.

The keybinds are stored in the windows registry, along with a bunch of other information that shouldn't be there.

Which is why it's HIGHLY recommended you run the 7d2d launcher.exe, switch to 'tools' tab, use the 'clean...' option and select all the checkboxes to clean EVERY time you uninstall / re-install or update to new versions of the game. The launcher tools reset those registry keys to correct settings for the version you have installed. People not doing this end up with all kinds of problems and can't for the life of them figure out why even after they did a complete uninstall / re-install. But, that's why........values stored in Windows Registry. I'd have to agree it's an odd way for a game to be storing configurations.

This is first time I've installed the game, I have an issue with keybindings and certain settings not even saving.

Because it saves settings in windows registry, you Anti-Virus app might try blocking it from making changes. Try setting an exclusion in your AV app exclusions list for; 7d2d.exe, 7d2d launcher.exe, and (if you play online MP) EAC.exe. Can also try R-clicking each of these, select properties--compatibility and set them to 'Run as administrator' then click ok.

I use WIndows Security only, but I guess I'll try that.
