So yes, use creative mode to get em. Stupid change
I would love to have those metal shelves like the ones that have military supplies. And so much more
Is there any other way to get a drink cooler besides using the Creative Menu?

Thanks for your relpy. That's what I read before posting.
But I've visited all traders many times, and I've never seen a Beverage Cooler on the sale list.
You WILL drink your BEER warm, and you will Enjoy It!!!

welcome to creative menu.
I'm interested in your tutorial and mod.
But if possible, I prefer not to rely on mods or other changes to official settings for this issue.
I hope TFP officials can correct this issue in the future.
If so, I believe 1.0 introduced a new block for this. The old block was just a flat paint applied to a container block if I am not mistaken. The new block is higher quality and not just flat paint.
Unfortunately there is no player version of the block so even using creative isn't a good option. The reason is that the block downgrades to an unusable version if you ever empty it out. Once it downgrades you can never use it again. You could always make sure to leave something in it, but if you ever forget the block downgrades and becomes useless.
In order for this to become a usable block for players a new version would need to be added that does not downgrade. That isn't a big deal to do but it will require a modlet.
The way I would do it once the block is created, would be to add the new block to the "appliances" variable shape block, rather than making it craftable. The appliance block can already take a bunch of different shapes like a coffee machine, refrigerator, stove etc, and that seems like a good fit.
then again im not sure which cooler your referring to so, but i have seen them be in that tab before
