Any news about the Storm's Brewing update?

There's a month left until Q4 of 2024, 1.1 is in EXP, and I wonder if there's any mention about the Storm's Brewing update? Any sneak peaks of anything? I'm just really excited about a new weather system and wardrobe system

shouldnt the unstable of storms by out by now if they wanna hit thier "end of winter" goal? as most of the bigger updates take 4 weeks to get out of unstable branch. and end of winter is probaly for consoles aswell which would mean stable.

or will it get delayed till late spring?

The weather update was pushed back a bit. They're finding it to be a little more challenging than they expected I guess. This is what SylenThunder posted about it in the update notes thread...

Version 2.0 Storms Brewing Update

Our earlier estimates for the timing of the Storms Brewing update were optimistic. The update is going great but we expect it to land late Q1 2025. Although it is later than anticipated the 1.2 features from it will come sooner. Storms Brewing will Include:

Full new weather survival system that has unique environmental damage types, remedies and challenges per biome
Cross play on Dedicated servers
Advanced New Radiated Game staged Zombie enemies
Updated Trees for Performance and some new biome looks
Updated handheld Drinks and Food Item meshes
New Sub Title System
New belt message priority system
New zombie spawning tool optimization for high tier POIS.
New player Wardrobe system that allows player to keep their outfit protection but change their outfit appearance.
New Player DLC outfits
Twitch Drops
A ton of bug fixes, balance, optimizations and quality of life features. Too many to list now.

So, yeah... will be Mid Spring before we see it fleshed out probably. When 2.0 drops I guess.

well yeah i have read that copy and paste beforehand. hence why i am asking.

q1 isnt that long anymore. q1 ends end of march and well unstable takes 4 weeks to finish most the time. thats early spring. mid spring would be MAY. if thats the case they better cancel the roadmap entirely as thats like half a year later than planned.

so i assumed unstable to appear this month sometime if they wanna make that end of q1 an actual reality.

Ok, so... this is what I found over in the forum on the official 7d2d website... a post for their current predictions on the Roadmap ahead...

1.0 - Initial release (July 25th, 2024)

2.0 - Update 1: Storm's Brewing (Q4 2024, now Q1/2 2025)

3.0 - Update 2: A New Threat (Q2 2025, TBD)

4.0 - Update 3: The Road Ahead (Q4 2025, TBD)

So, it looks like they might be pushing the drop of 2.0 out to Q2 of 2025... unless they manage to get it done quick as originally projected. I have my doubts on that though so... mid Spring is still my guesstimate.

Actually, they're skeptical about getting it out that soon and are predicting as late as 2nd quarter possibly. That's what I read in the official 7d2d web forum.

I don't mind them taking 'a bit' longer, but i did wish they communicate it a bit better.
I am also very much waiting (and daily checking) to see if the update or at least some news about it is out.
Wanted to start a new save on 2.0 but since nothing happened i recently restarted on 1.2.
Am already on endgame again, hope when the update comes out i still feel like starting over.

not even in unstable testing yet.
and if it isnt in 2 weeks from now theyll miss thier "end of winter" estimate they posted about for it aswell as unstables go on for atleast 3-4 weeks for bigger updates.

I saw 1.3 stable is out but no mention of it.

No its not out and no word of it coming soon so your gonna have to continue waiting like everybody else is doing its a little thing called patience it will come out when it comes out or whenever the devs feel like it you can go play something else while you wait also steam has this wonderful section in their desktop client called news where developers post update announcements every time they post an update for their games, including seven days to die so you know if you take the time to read just like you took the time to make this post you wouldn’t have had to have made this post when you could just read the news section every time seven days to die gets an update. They put up a post saying what the update is and what’s new in it. Save you some time in the future. You’re welcome.
