Yeah I've played it years ago. Mods are neat and all, but there's a clear difference between modding in a feature and officially getting support for an entirely new form of play.
I gotta say, 7DVR 3.0 ain't bad at all, for a mod, of course. WAY better than the original version of the mod.
I'd still love to play this game with official high-quality VR support, but I am not disappointed with the current state of the 7DVR mod.
It's not absolutely incredibly amazing, but it's not terrible either. The main problem for me is the unintuitive button mapping which makes it difficult to control, and certain functions are weird - like, heavy attack is mapped to a button so it's more like a magic wand where you point your weapon at a zombie and press the button. An official VR version would probably have you hold the heavy attack button while swinging your weapon.
