Can't find Crucible
What's the best place to find a crucible or get blueprints? I have been unable to get either (A19). Somewhat of a noob here. thanks

How early the schematic will drop surprised me - it just dropped in a duo game where we're on maybe loot stage 30 maximum. Pass 'n gas boxes tend to be good for tool schematics, so hitting up garages probably ups your chance of getting lucky a little bit.

In A19 taking enough better barter to unlock the level 3 secret stashes, and making sure you visit all the traders every restock, was probably the best strategy. That's probably still the best approach in A20.

Unless you go massively into Int you can always get games where it seems like a crucible just won't appear. Salvaging every streetlight and broken vending machine you come across, plus optionally some points in salvage operations, is the solution. You can get a significant steel income that way so not having a crucible isn't that painful.

Buying steel is always an option too. It's a bit painful but it works in a pinch.

Crucibles can be commonly found at the trader once you have Better Barter level 3, at a cost of around 7000 Dukes.

^^
Better Barter 3 is a sure way..

The longest it took me to loot a crucible on A19 was 78 days.

Such an annoying RNG progress lock.

I believe you can also make it

of course that requires finding the schematic or perk into it.

that being said tool shops are your best bet for trying to get one before the trader charges you up the rear for it.

A crucible is basically a clay pot. There's no reason to not know how to create a crucible after building your first forge. So just open console and enter the command to give yourself the schematic for it. I have played so long just pointlessly running around searching for it or other simple things such as potatoes.

Now I'm just take the simple items with admin console when I think I should already have/know them.
