Same as gaining reputation in many other games. Rekt wont give a ♥♥♥♥ about how good your reputation is with Jen.
Now what I am doing is setting up additional bases around the map (ones I build, not POIs to prevent sleeper spawning) with some general workstations and storage and camping out in a city for a week instead of going back and forth.
It feels more adventurous and with how dense some of these cities are, a reason to explore and be spoiled for choices.
I might even make seperate horde bases in the future.
Lack of communication ability between encampments probably. Jen laments the fact we don't even have clocks. How is she going to call ahead to Rekt or Joel like "Yo, heads up! Got a guy comin your way".
Given some of her other lines, I bet TJ's is just the Dukes money making operation and their word to one another really doesn't mean jack since they're all getting fleeced.
Plus, sheeeeeees a doctor. She's got rounds to do in the evening. Can't be gallivanting around the map like a vagabond reporting on every wandering scamp that drags itself across her threshold.
