If they make my navesgain map obsolete I am done for a long time. I waited thru the entire beta just to make sure that my save file wouldnt be made obsolete in some way within 30 days.

There's been a post 1.0 development roadmap made public for a while now. Since before 1.0 released. It's no secret. The roadmap is pinned at the top of this forum in the dev diary. Yes, they are going to keep working on this game. And yes you will almost certainly have the option of staying locked on 1.0 should you wish.

In other words, they didn't "release" the game, they just called it 1.0 to avoid all the "10 years beta" complaints. They're still going forward with their usual shenanigans.

that is precisely what they just did. since this overall minor update makes poi changes you have to restart in order to get them all.

i just hope the vehicle armor changes and tank change are retroactive atleast. i dont care about minor poi fixes. they dont justify a restart of a map. plus would have to make entirely new map to even get them. this is why normally they shouldnt do poi changes in between alphas. as a23 should be out by end of october if they wanna get it to consoles this year still. thats not a long timeframe.

game isnt designed for longterm play. fokus has become the casual mainstream now. quick fast and nice and easy.

In the steam store they are saying the game released in 2024.

Call it what you want, it's just words. Release, early access, beta, alpha, doesn't matter.
If you can buy the game and play it - it is released.
If it is not finished - it is released in an unfinished state.
The full release is when the game gets no more updates, people usually call it dead or abandoned game.
Same gameplay and ballance changes, price changes can happen in both released and early access games. Progress can be wiped, seen it in some released games. Content can be added, for free or not. 1.0 release doesn't mean anything.

Oh so we're just pretending that updates and patches don't exist right? A game going 1.0 and being released is final. Never gets changed, never gets updated.

And in the game itself it is called pre-release software. Which is sending mixed signals to some.

Apparently bugs can't be fixed post release anymore.
zombygunner Aug 8, 2024 @ 3:26am
Maybe they should of had smarter people make the game because there shouldnt be bugs if the game is released. I know the way it is now for people and they think its ok to have bugs because everyone does it but your not everyone are you? The way i see is IF YOUR NOT SMART ENOUGH THEN DONT DO IT.
zombygunner Aug 8, 2024 @ 3:29am
Ten years and bugs is ok lol wut is wrong with the people today? Again others do it so its ok right? Imo that kind of attitude is lazy and why they the DEV's do what they do and get away with what they can.

They recommending starting a new save to enjoy some of the new bug fixes.
'' As such, a new game is highly recommended in order to experience these updated POIs in all of their glory.''

I am so tired of having to start a new save all the time in open world sanbox games.
How i am expected to get invested in that universe when i have to delete it every few weeks.
Same with other games like Empyrion. So tiresome :(

Annoying clowns. Made it a week without needing a forced restart to get the latest content. After being told for years the whole point of alpha is so these things can happen before 1.0

It takes forever to move around and build on console too, I'd be so pissed off

If you consider the end of June, 2024 (one month ago, 30 days) "a while" considering this has been in development for 12 years (4,380 days), the roadmap hasnt been "made public for a while now"

i agree ive been restarting since ps4....stop with the dumb!
anabbstraction Aug 8, 2024 @ 11:50am
Does anyone know if going 1.1 will wipe current progress? Iv had to restart so many times... I remember back when it was released in console I would periodically lose party's or while bases due to cell resetting.. I really don't want to start over again... Not this soon
