You could check your world and saves:
%appdata%\7DaysToDie
Probably you find somethin there
It's also possible to copy your player data to another world.
Or another option is to start a new world in creative mode, give you everything you "lost" and disable creative mode then. That's also possible with F1(console)→dm (debug mode)
Only thing I noticed was my trader quests were set back to Tier II for whatever reason.

If you go to the game in your steam library, and look at news for it, there is a news release on this. It includes this link and instructions.
Also note that looking there when you have questions about any new version in the future is often a good place to start. Probably faster than posting here and waiting for someone to be helpful.
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\7 Days to Die.
Worlds are usually under 'Data\ Worlds' in the 7DTD folder, paste your old world back here and hopefully it will work, your save game should turn green.
