trees
then enter, then either ESC or F1 to close the F1 menu. This will get rid of all the trees. I don't think there's an option for Grass though.
I'm pretty sure XML edits for trees/grass only work if you use them before ever loading into the map...or maybe before generating the world altogether. I'm not sure what the edit itself would be though. Sorry.
Out of curiosity, what are you aiming to do with this?
I tried it as a host in MP and the other player I tested with said they still had trees and it looked like I could walk through them.
It DOES however make zombies also walk through those tree-areas.
The other quirk I found was the treehouse POI still floated and zombies were pretty confused without a tree to hit and knock it down.
Otherwise it mostly works fine for singleplayer.
