Yea thats what I though because I dont check every book i read but i thought maybe it could be a extra skill point but I guess you are right ^^. But chance on lvl 6 isnt that small its 50% Actually :D
Sadly it's very hard to make use of lvl 6 Nerd Armor since by then you're usually finished with any magazines you care about. It really shines in Multiplayer though, because you can give that armor to a new player at a time when the world doesn't have as many magazines in it (short of resetting a POI via Trader mission).
I started on hard difficulty and at the desert so we already have lvl 6 Armor before reading every book. But because I play with 1 friend we have different books we read and drop the other to level up the attribute faster. But I guess in singelplayer you could be right.
