Trader progression is now global; unlocking T2 unlocks it at every trader.

As for where to see the tier info, I'm not sure off the top of my head- Check your Character and Quest screens, is the most likely places i'd think.

appreciated, the first tier quests are sending me into other towns 1.7km away past the same traders for over half the quests and the running is getting a bit much and I didnt know If i could mix and match the quests to finish the tier with a little less marathoning.

I have discovered that you can do the tier quests for any of the traders, but you'll need to go to the right trader to get sent to the next one. For example, you start in the forest with Trader Rekt, do your 10 missions and he sends you to Trader Jen. At this point, all the traders will give you T2 missions. You can do those T2 missions for either Rekt or Jen or any of the others, but, once you've hit the next level of missions done, you'll need to see Jen to get sent on to Trader Bob. I've not yet determined if the missions being done count the same number of points for every trader if they're in the same tier.

At least, this has been my experience.

Do you actually have to be "sent" anywhere? In past alphas you could just ignore the trade routes quests.

This is correct. You can advance tiers working for any trader. However the trade route quests from trader to trader take you in a specific order starting from Trader A and going to B. B sends you to C, C to D, D to E.

In your challenge log, under the questing section, the 10th challenge description explains how it works.

No, You can just ignore the trade route quests if you'd prefer to find traders yourself.
