Crafting glass jars in 1.0
Is this no longer a thing?
Also I could of swore you used to be able to re use the bottle once you drank from it
Did they get rid of that?

Removed since before 1.0. Make dew collectors, they are better.

Glass jars got removed a while ago. Was too easy to just mass cook water in the early game, making thirst never any challenge.
Now you only find murky water in loot and also can construct dew collectors who can produce murky or clear water daily depending on the upgrades.
Its honestly not the big change many make it out to be, it changes how you play like the first 2-3 days and after that, just as before, getting drinks is never again a problem for the rest of your playthrough.

Facts. Also jars were infinite with 1 campfire, which produces very little heat. Dew collectors are infinite water but attract screamers, which is more balanced - and personally I love having those exp pinatas come to my base.

Tbh i think it's even easier now with Dew-Collectors. Don't even need to make room in your inventory for empty bottles etc. I don't miss the empty jars

They attract screamers?? I never even noticed lol, I had a base with a non stop forge and 6 dew collectors and never saw a single screamer back in A21

Also it's unimmersive..
But hey, the engine cannot afford more unique items, so they need to remove more and more to have room to add mods etc.

The overall activity levels probably never rose high enough to trip the 100 pt counter which spawns them. Might have found the sweetspot of heat generationi and decay :)
