Question About 1.0 Releases
So June 24th is the Experimental release for public, If we make a world in Experimental, will it be able to be used once Stable is released or will we have to restart, Because I'm kinda getting tired of starting over worlds over and over again when I make so much progress in one and have to start another.

Provided everything goes smoothly, No. If any extreme issues crop up they could necessitate a restart; But that's not the goal/expectation. It will however always be recommended to restart on a new build in the experimental. Recommended; Not Required.

Most likely (IMO, like 98-99+%) your save will be forward compatible through to stable and through all the minor stable updates.

However, carrying a save through experimental into stable and beyond is likely to cause some more minor issues that are themselves likely fixable with CM/DM.

you can ultimately keep it, but you might notice issues aka glitches in the matrix

it should be at 1.0 even exp nothing too drastic can change in the world and mechanics unless its really bad stuff thats in there. I hoping it will but 80% it should. I cant see much changing maybe a few tweaks but for experimental it is very stable one of the best for games ive played
Can I use my v1.0 experimental save after the update launches in july?
^
Likely, yes, but there is no guarantee so you are taking a risk if you start a long term game before stable. If you don't mind starting over if it turns out to be necessary then go ahead and play now. If starting over would be a definite deal-breaker then best to wait.

July 25th.
Will there be a Wipe or need to create new server after current version ?
If we start playing this 1.0 version we have now is it going to continue the same version / server after game officially releases or will we need to create new server and new char ?
We dont know. Depending on what they need to patch or change ofter this month of experimental access before releasing the public version.
Servers and save games may transfer to the public release just fine or you may need to create a new world for everything to work.
Generally they advice to start a new game in a new world after the game leaves the experimental branch.
Will saves be wiped on July's release?

unknown yet, it is a possibility
This thread will probably be moved into a different subforum and/or merged with the who knows how many threads asking the same question and moved into a different subforum. Which will probably lead to the question being asked more times because people look in this forum and not see the question or an answer to it. The Steam forum software might or might not tell them that their post has been deleted or moved, but it won't tell them which and it won't tell them where it's been moved to.

Saves in an unstable experimental build might or might not be compatible with a later stable release build of the same alpha. Or even a later unstable experimental build of the same alphg. There have been cases with previous alphas in which that happened.

So there's no answer to the OP's question other than "maybe, maybe not".
