Old worlds on new updates
I put over 150+ hours into one of my worlds and have stopped playing because it wouldn't let me play my world on the new update. Is there anyway I can convert that world into the newest update world or did I lose a 150+ world permanently?

If you're talking about a dot release (Alpha 21.1 to Alpha 21.2, for instance) there should be no problem. If you're talking about playing an Alpha 20 world in Alpha 21, no you can't do that. Each new Alpha release basically renders maps from the previous Alpha obsolete. You can, however, save any bases or custom POI's you have created and import them into the new version. Simply load into the previous version and save your base or POI in the Prefab Editor. Then reload the newest game version and run the PrefabUpdater tool (there are numerous posts and videos online showing how to do this). Once you run the updater tool you will need to go into your base in the Prefab Editor and replace any missing blocks (the blue ? blocks), and save it. Then you can place your base into any new map in the new version. I'm playing in the latest Alpha 21 release and still using some bases that I created in Alpha 19. I hope this helps, good luck.
In addition to the above, If you don't mind not having the new content/whatever from newer updates, You can opt into the older version via steam's beta menu. Your save isn't gone- It's still on disk, Newer major versions won't load it as described by Desert rat- But it's still there.

So just set the beta menu to whatever version your save was from, and enjoy for as long as you please, Finish playing the world till you're satisfied then start a new one in whatever version is the latest whenever you get around to that.

Library -> Right click 7DTD -> Properties -> Betas -> Beta Participation -> Select the appropriate alpha version.
