7 Days to Die
Crafting for winter clothing?
My generated world is 70% covered in snow/winter. It will be cold if the character walks outside. Are there any winter clothing items that can be crafted?

They can be both found in loot where clothes usually are aswell as crafted.

To craft them you first need to learn the recipes from Needle & Thread books.
(Issue 6 has the Puffer Coat recipe which has pretty good cold resist)
That or drink coffee when you're cold.
Coffee is not too hard to find or make.

Get lots of wood and rocks so you can make and place multiple campfires down outside to keep you warm until you get good clothes.

You can also make and use a torch for heat but you can only equip 1 item at a time.

Thanks for the info.
Even with full winter clothes, it's not going to protect you enough from the occasional extreme blizzards unless you sacrifice your head & foot armors with regular clothing items. Like @Corsin & @Alucard have said, do those things & it should help protect you from the basic elements. Yucca Smoothies also protect from the cold better, but it's a bit later in skill to craft and cost a bit dukes to buy. If it's annoying you that much, you can also just build a shelter and it'll also protect you from the cold.

You could also put points into "Well Insulated" perk, but it's honestly a waste of points in many players eyes, including mine.

But in all seriousness, the detriment of being "cold" is just an increased hunger consumption rate, so as long as you can cook the vast abundance of raw meat you can get from the mountain lions, bears, and wolves you've clobbered into Grilled Meat or Bacon & Eggs, you'll be fine in the snow biome.
