Disable god mode
Hi, I generated a map in the editor. I don't have experience and didn't know how to do certain things, I tried to start a game in the creative mode to build some buildings I had in mind, I generated some huge mountains, caves, lakes... I spent a good amount of hours doing a few things on the map. The problem is that I already have the map ready to be played with some friends and I've noticed that I can't disable the god mode in any way, no matter how I disable the creative mode. I tried looking at the console codes and I couldn't find anything, but do you think there's any way you could turn off the God mode in that game ?

The problem is that in the map editor everything I modified about the terrain wasn't saved the next time I loaded the map. So I thought that maybe it would be possible to do what I had in mind by starting a game and using the creative mode. And it was. You can load map editor tools into the editor, and open your game on that map and you have the tools that allow you to terraform. Everything is fine until I saw that it doesn't take away the god mode and then it's not funny to play the map that I created.

English is not my first languaje. Sorry

So uhm, i'm a bit confused to be honest. :b So you started to work with the editor that comes with the game, then decided to load that map into a normal game, used dev tools to finish it?
In wich way did you activate the god mode then? Used console commands like dm and cm?
I'm just asking, because the editor is just that - an editor.
If you already started your world in a normal game, you should be able to disable godmode the way you enabled it. (open console and type dm until it says "off") Or starting a new survival game with your buddies and choose your edited world from the world selection.
Maybe i'm getting it wrong though.

The problem is I'm not sure how the editor works. And as I said before, when I terraformed something, I didn't save the changes, and the same if I built buildings with blocks, put trees, put water...
So I tried to start a game on that map, with the creative mode. I made a big mountain. Then I wanted to go to a desert area and create a cave, full of radioactive barrels, many zombies, some trucks... and to move fast I did it from the map editor and not from the game. So to move to the places where I knew I wanted to build, in different places of the map, I used the map editor, the same as to take the tool to manipulate terrain. Then I'd load the game and make the changes I wanted to make to the terrain, and that way they'd be saved.

I tried several maps later, and I think you get into the God mode if you go into the editor and fly around, for example, or something like that.

I didn't really know about the "dm" command. I just tried it right now from my saved game and when I activate it, it gives me features of the editor mode, and from there although I remove the god mode and it doesn't take effect, but I can kill myself and then it disappears. So i fixed the problem.

By the way, is there a way to be able to manipulate the terrain in editor mode, put trees, make lakes... and build structures with blocks... and have it remain saved?

Thank you very much for your answer, it helped me solve the problem.

There's some terrain tools if you load into a normal game outside the world editor or prefab editor. Just load your game normaly as if you wanted to play, hit F1 to open the console, type dm-enter, then cm-enter, close the console with F1 or escape.
"u" now opens the creative menu from where you can get all blocks wich are in the game, also trees ,waterblocks and stuff.

Q now activates god, fly and clip mode.

If you click on the pc like looking symbol over the search bar and search for dev, you get dev tools, including a terrain editor tool, insta kill pistol and the supa digga or what it's called to remove blocks with (the mp5)

You'll also note some changes if you hit escape to pause. On the right hand side for instance, there's some god tools to play around with.

So since this a "normal" game, it should normaly save on exit with all your editing.
Or open the console again and type sa to save manually.

There's much more to it, like more tools being activated with keys. The * key on the number pad freezes the ai for example.
"Z" activates a special modifying tool.
Guess you'll need to read up on it to get fully into it. Some are given in the controls setting though. So have look there as well.

You'll have to do the "type into console" thing each time you load the game btw. It always loads and starts as a normal game.
Have fun! ;)
