Extracting blood

Is extracting blood still a thing? Do I need to loot a kit? Is it gone? Am I missing something?

I just wanna make blood bags :)

I'd forgotten all about the blood kits. Don't think they are a thing anymore

Confirmed, they are removed. I think they were just a placeholder for something else, but I forget what that else is. Zeitgeist of the times, as they say

Long gone, If you are looking for blood bags, I believe some level of Physician gives allows you to harvest them from the IV Bags in medical locations.

Could be used to give the villain faction a more sinister atmosphere. Capturing and regularly harvesting blood, with a chance of infection and a long acting anemia debuff. Then people would know how horseshoe crabs feel.

Aye, thanks for all your replies. I'll look into the physician tree cause these Fort Bites aint gonna craft themselves and that's where I find the bottle-neck to be for me.

You get blood bags without points in physician. Maybe you get more with levels, I haven't checked that out.

So you mean by using a salvaging tool on those med beds in POIs?

Not the beds themselves, the iv stand next to them. Yeah, an axe works quickly, a wrench will also work. I also haven't checked if a wrench gives more than an axe. Something you can test.

I've always found those IVs to look suspicious, i almost try to loot them every time :) and cool idea by Jynx. Thanks a bunch

Darkness Falls has part of that idea. You can use the blood draw kits to collect blood, and it can give you anemia for a while. Or do too much too quickly and die.

Ah, man... :) I'm having a blast in vanilla. But I get too much loot solo except for blood bags obviously :) Thanks so much for your tips1
