Boiling Water....

So, I have a campfire, a coocking pot, a metal-bucket full of water directly from a nearby lake, but I can't boil and drink it directly from the bucket or the pot? Am I missing something, is it a bug or just stupid game design?

Buckets are only used for filling water into something like a trench you dig, other than that you need to find jars of murky water to boil into clean water, or buy clean water from vending machines/trader or clean water from due collector.

If you throw the water out of the bucket you can drink it off the floor like an animal :)

Downing vitamins (the green/white pills) before drinking from "raw" sources of water prevents the illness. You'll still take the 5 or 10 dmg. per handful or whatever it is, but won't get the runs. Course, you have to have vitamins first. >.>

there is the mod for a helm that allows to drink any murky water without damage and illness including water on the floor
